When it comes to impressing catering prospects, every detail counts. A custom proposal not only gives your customer a quote for their event—it presents them with a polished, professional portfolio that helps you stand out from the competition.


This guide walks you through the steps of creating a Custom Quote in the Order Entry tab. 

Note: This feature is available only for Marketing Pro Plus accounts.

Before You Start

The first part of creating a quote is the same as creating an order. If you’re new to Order Entry, see our Order Entry: The Complete Guide for detailed instructions on building the order or quote.

Once your quote is ready in Order Entry, you can follow the steps below to customize it.



Quote Cover Sheet

When you sign up for CaterZen’s Marketing Pro Plus, our marketing team creates a custom template for your Quote Cover Sheet. This is automatically turned on for your account.

How to Create a Custom Quote

  • Build your quote in the Order Entry tab.

  • Click Create a Quote.

     

Choose a Quote Cover Sheet

  • Choose the Custom Quote Cover Sheet you would like to use.

    

Customize Quote Cover Sheet

A pop-up will ask: "Do you want to customize the selected quote cover sheet before sending?”

  • No, use as it is – Sends the quote using your existing template.

  • Yes, customize for this quote – Opens the cover sheet for editing.


If You Select "Yes, Customize for This Quote"

  • The Custom Quote Cover Sheet will open.

  • Make your changes as needed.

  • Click Save to save your changes.

    

If You Select "No, Use as It Is"

  • You will move to the next contract step


Attach a Contract

A pop-up will ask: "Do you want to attach a contract to this quote?"

  • No – Sends the quote using your existing template without a contract

  • Yes – Allows for your choice of Contract to be sent with the quote and electronically signed.


If You Select "Yes"

A pop-up will appear with your available Contracts.

  • Chose the contract you wish to use.

  

Consent to E-Sign

A pop-up will ask: "Do you consent to this document being signed electronically?"

  • Check Yes or No

     

  • A copy of the Contract you chose will open. Make any edits needed and scroll done to Save

    

  • A pop-up will appear where you can enter the Contract Name you want to give the contract and edit the message that will be sent with the Contract/Quote.


Confirm Sending the Quote

A confirmation pop-up will appear:

  • Click OK to finalize and proceed, or Cancel to go back.

  

  • Once confirmed, you can view, download, or send the customized quote.


You’re Done!

You’ve now created a custom quote in CaterZen. With a professional cover sheet and tailored details, your proposals will make a lasting impression on every prospect.
