Overview

The Upsell Configured Menu Items Report provides a list of all menu items currently set up with configured upsells in your CaterZen account. This report helps you review which menu items have associated upsell options—such as add-ons, upgrades, or complementary products—so you can evaluate and manage your upsell strategy effectively. Use this report to confirm your upsell setup, ensure accuracy across menu categories, and identify opportunities to expand or refine your upsell offerings.

Accessing the Report

  • Go to the More tab in your CaterZen account.

  • Select Reports → Sales Reports.


  • Click Upsell Configured Menu Items Report.

  • This report does not require Filter Parameters. The report will generate once you click the report name in the list. 

  

Exporting or Sharing

At the top of the report, you can:

  • Print or Download the report in PDF form for further analysis.

  • Email the Report to yourself or another team member.


Understanding the Report

The exported Excel file lists every menu item currently configured with upsell options, including:

  • Menu Item Name

  • Associated Upsell Items

Each row represents a menu item, showing which upsells are connected to it.
This helps ensure every applicable item includes the correct add-on options and that no upsells are missing or misconfigured.


Common Use Cases

  • Configuration Audits: Review your menu to confirm that upsell options are correctly assigned to each applicable item.

  • Menu Optimization: Identify menu categories or items that could benefit from additional upsell opportunities.

  • Quality Control: Ensure inactive or discontinued menu items are not still linked to active upsells.

  • Staff Training: Share with your sales or catering team so they understand what upsells are available for each menu item.

Best Practices

  • Combine with the Upsell Report to compare what’s configured versus what’s actually selling.

  • Review upsell pairings to ensure logical combinations (e.g., Beverage Add-Ons with Boxed Lunches).

  • Keep inactive or seasonal upsells updated to avoid confusion during order entry.
