In this article, we will go over the menu buddies setting found on the customer's side of the online ordering interface.  The menu buddies is the dropdown box called:  This item is for:

The purpose of this dropdown is to help assign menu items selections to a specific person.  So for example, if a secretary was ordering for an office luncheon she could assign each menu item selected to the person who ordered the menu item.   Then the restaurant/caterer would write the menu buddies name on the bag so that when the food is delivered the client would not have to open up the package to see who the item is for.

Note that this will appear on the customer side as well as the employee side

By default, the menu buddies are turned on.   If you would like to turn them off this article will show you how.
