Venue Manager Basics
Q: What is Venue Manager?
A: Venue Manager allows you to save shared delivery locations that are used by multiple Customers. When selected during order entry, the venue’s address and delivery notes automatically populate into the order.
Q: When should I use Venue Manager?
A: Venue Manager is best used when you regularly deliver to the same location for different Customers or when a delivery location has consistent instructions.
Common examples include churches, hotels, medical offices, banquet halls, and corporate offices.
Creating and Managing Venues
Q: How do I create a new venue?
A: Venues are created and managed from the Venue Manager section under the More tab.
Q: Can I edit a venue after it’s been created?
A: Yes. You can update venue addresses, contact information, and notes at any time from Venue Manager.
Q: Can multiple locations use the same venue?
A: Yes. A venue can be assigned to one or multiple locations. Locations must be explicitly assigned before the venue will appear during order entry.
Q: What happens if I delete a venue?
A: Deleting a venue removes it from the Venue Manager list and prevents it from being used in future orders. Past orders are not changed.

Using Venues During Order Entry
Q: How do I select a venue while taking an order?
A: During order entry, select the venue from the Delivery Address drop-down to automatically apply the saved address and notes.
Q: What information auto-fills when I select a venue?
A: When a venue is selected:
The delivery address auto-fills
Delivery Notes appear next to the delivery address
General Notes appear in the Special Instructions section
Q: Can I change venue details while taking an order?
A: Venue details cannot be edited during order entry. However, order-specific fields can still be adjusted without updating the saved venue.

Troubleshooting
Q: Why don’t I see a venue during order entry?
A: The most common reasons are:
The venue has not been created
Your location is not assigned to the venue
The order type is not set to Delivery

Q: Does selecting a venue change the Customer’s saved address?
A: No. Venues are separate from Customer records. Selecting a venue does not overwrite Customer address information.
